Racine Mayor Arrested
I woke up this morning and saw news about Racine, the city that James and I were born and raised. We lived in Racine until 2002. Often people look back to the city they were raised in and think of raising their own kids there. This is not the case with us. The nice city we were raised in has turned into a horrible city that is falling apart. I am glad that we got out when we did.
There has been news about neighborhoods turning unsafe and way too much crime for years. Today’s news was shocking and has the city really talking about what it will take to get the city back to the nice place it used to be.
The mayor of Racine was arrested yesterday outside of a mall in Milwaukee which is just minutes from Racine. The mayor was arrested while trying to meet a child. All that is said is that they got a complaint last week from someone so they started an investigation. It sounds like they caught him with an internet sting. There is said to be many felony charges involved including possession of child pornography. There are such sick people out there.
