Veteran’s Day
We say many thanks to the men and women who have served in our Armed Forces. Thank you for your sacrifices to protect our freedoms. There are never enough words to thank those who would lay down their lives to protect the freedoms of a nation. Thank you and God Bless you all.
Please remember to thank people in our Armed Forces on a regular basis not just on Veteran’s Day. Also remember their families that are often left to worry and struggle while they are sent away to fight.
This day holds a lot of meaning in my family. My father was in the Navy. I have two brothers that served in the Army and James was a Marine. I also have many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins that have served.
I of course must also say a late Happy Birthday to the Marines. I will never forget going over to my parent’s house after I married James. My father had huge a Navy flag above the staircase. The Navy and Marine rivalry will always live on I guess.
This is a big week for James. In addition to the Marine’s birthday and then Veteran’s Day today he also has his own birthday tomorrow. They all fall in a row. It makes it much easier for me to remember them all.
