Where did all the days of Thanksgiving break go? I had so much planned and yet again the days flew by and I still did not get everything done. I did have a good time and got to relax some though. It does not feel like that many days flew by though. Soon we will get more days of holiday break since Christmas is coming so I can look forward to that.
Today we are supposed to get lots and lots of snow. I really am not looking forward to that. We have not gotten a snow blower yet so that means shoveling! We have not gotten enough to need to shovel yet this year. The girls will be very happy about being able to go sledding again though. The slope in the back yard makes for a nice sledding hill and how many kids get to sled anytime they want to and in their own yard?

I am sure that I should be getting some cleaning or organizing done today but I feel like sitting and having a cup of coffee instead. I can get back to all the other stuff later on.
I think today I will organize and clean the storage and laundry areas in the basement. If there is time maybe I will get the girl’s closets done. I was going to get started on the closets with them but we have been having too much fun doing other things.
There are so many good old movies on today. My DVR is getting stuffed full. We will have to watch a few of them later on when we take a break. Noelle is finally at an age where she loves watching old movies with me. This is a great age. She finally understands and enjoys a lot of the things that I do. I know that soon enough she will gone with friends all the time so I am loving this time we have together. I would hate to waste it all on cleaning…
Okay, maybe I am just being lazy and making excuses. I guess I should actually get something done today.

I love holidays! We stayed up late last night and got caught up on some shows we had on the DVR. Then this morning we slept in. Well, James did not but he never does. I made a big breakfast of sausages, hash browns, biscuits, and eggs. Yes, I know I am really cheating but it is a holiday darn it! I will be good again tomorrow. I think I have also drank a pot of coffee already and I know I will make more.
Right now I felt like taking a break and making my Thanksgiving posts. I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving. I also want to thank you all for visiting this blog regularly. I have really enjoyed getting to know all of your blogs. I am also thankful for the kind comments you leave here.
Now it is time to get back to my family stuff. This is going to be a very long day and I will love every minute of it. I hope your day is just as great.

It felt like the holidays would never come. I can not believe that Thanksgiving is already tomorrow! You know what that means right?
Yes, it means lots of turkey and other great foods but that is not what has be this excited. Yes, it means shopping but I am actually one of the few women that really do not like shopping very much. Shopping during the holidays is bitter sweet for me. On one hand I love shopping for gifts so it is better than normal shopping. On the other hand it gets very crowded during holidays and I hate being in crowded stores.
Okay, okay, back to the point…. I am excited because the second Thanksgiving is over I can start pulling out all of the Christmas decorations! I love decorating for the Christmas. We have decided to not have a big tree for the second year in a row but I can get past that. Last year Padfoot was only a 7 month old puppy and huge so we thought it would be a disaster if we had one. This year we have the insane kitten Bridget and Padfoot still thinks he is a puppy so it will be another year of just a small tree on an end table. I still get to go crazy with decorating the rest of the house though!

I have been getting lazy about moving things over to the new format on the main website. I made up for that on Thursday. I spent lots of time and effort to get The Newsroom moved over to the new format. It had a lot of sections before but I found many new video feeds to add so it is now 26 sections. Yep, I really went all out.
I may end up refining a few feeds and adding more feeds later but for the most part it is all finished. I had to turn off the HTML editor to be able to add all the code so I wanted to get it all done at once. Now I think I will go back to adding more of the regular projects and recipes to the site.
If you would like to check out the new newsroom full of news videos these are the new sections. They are not in any particular order. The order changes on the site according to popularity. These news feeds are also able to be embeded into any website or blog so feel free to grab the code and use any section of my newsroom on your sites.

I guess I should expect it this time of year but I still do not have to like it.
As I got in the car to drive the kids to school I realized that it was snowing. We have not had a real snow fall yet this year just a few good batches of flurries. They have come and gone pretty quickly. Just as you notice that the snow is really coming done it will be over just as fast. There has not been any sticking to the ground so that is a plus.
This town loves the snow so I keep my hatred of it quiet. I live in a small town that loves deer hunting, 4 wheeling, and snowmobiling. If I liked snow I would probably like all that stuff too. To me snow just means it is freezing cold outside and we need to unbury the driveway. I am hoping that James will buy a snowblower soon though. If we are going to stay living in Wisconsin we will need one. Have I mentioned that I miss Arizona? We would still be at the pool if we were there.

This was a bad weekend for us with our one year old dog. First Padfoot some how got a hold of a dead animal. We live in a pretty rural area that is full of animals. Padfoot was running around the yard and then wanted to come inside. That is when I noticed that he had something in his mouth. From what I could tell it was a head of something like a woodchuck. He refused to let it go and even scared me when I tried to take it away from him. I was home alone at the time so I had to just lock him in the outside kennel and let him continue to eat it.
I left him outside all day and just brought him inside at night. We kept him away from all animals for 48 hours to see if he looked sick at all but he seems okay. Now he is back to running around the house like normal. The girls still watch his every move though because they think he is a horrible killer now and are worried that he will kill a cat.
I did look some things up and found that dogs that have a hunting breed in them tend to like dead animals. I am hoping that does not mean that we will have to continue to have this happen.

Well James went back to Best Buy with the defective Guitar Hero World Tour today. They had none left and stated that of the 50 they sold 45 had already been return. It is such a wide spread problem that he decided to not bother waiting for them to get more in. So he bought Rock Band and an extra guitar since it uses a different guitar than what we already have for the regular Guitar Hero.
James and the girls are all in the rec room playing right now while I finish dinner. They really like it. It is not really that different and they like the songs better than on World Tour. They have not had it that long and they only had World Tour over night so I am not sure really which one is really better. I do think that the drums on Rock Band look like they will last longer and I am happy that it has been out longer so all the problems should be worked out.
Okay back to making dinner so I can go have fun with it.
